You Want Some of this?
The Wind Ensemble imported this Bavarian Superstar Tuba player in order to provide Richmond County with the finest Swiss style Ohm Pah's. His genius I remember (that was the only Tuba solo that ever made me cry), but the name of this artist escapes me.

On the steps of the Capital
The RSHS Concert and Marching Raider Bands, preparing for a performance on the steps of our Nation's Capital in the Spring of 1982. |
|
May of 1982
It wasn't all work on this Washington, DC trip. We did lots of sight seeing including Arlington Cemetary, the Jefferson and Lincoln Memorials, and the most impressive site of all located just off the interstate in Virginia... The Patton Motel, where these words echoed down every corridor, "Does anyone have another quarter so my bed will start vibrating again?"
Kim Stewart (?), Sonny Gibson, Glen Caulder, and Ronnie Brigman
