What Have I Been Up
To?
Most recently, after thirteen years with Richmond County
North Carolina's 911 Office, I left in December 2004 to
work as Lead Trainer for
Southern
Software, Inc. Training was great. There
is nothing like people being paid to pay attention to
you.
I migrated to Project Management early in 2006, which
was, as I had been warned, lots of headaches but very
satisfying.
In November of 2006, we had an open position for a
salesman in the SC, GA, AL, and FL markets with a
specialization needed in 911 software systems. I
really like sales, despite the fact I've always said it
was something I couldn't/wouldn't do, and it got even
better when my company decided to go with product
demonstration teams instead of having each salesman do
their own presentations in their respective markets.
Since January 2008, I've been a Technical Marketing
Specialist - a salesman whose primary focus is
presenting to Sheriff's Offices, Police Departments, 911
Centers, Jails, Colleges, Hospitals, and more.
Southern Software is a great company, and even though my
job takes me away from home more than I'd like, I love
what I do.
