The 1975 Marching Season

S. L. Starcher, Band Director

"The Raider Band had its best year ever this year.  The most exciting moment for the band was on Cary Band Day when our fantastic marchers took the Number One position.  Starcher’s Marchers faithfully put on a half-time show for all of the football games.  After all of the hard and nerve-racking practices the band finally realized that all of these practices were worthwhile.  The crowd loved the band’s performances so much that they gave them standing ovation after standing ovation.  Of course, the Marching Band is not the only band that put on performances.  The Symphonic Band and the Jazz Band each gave a concert that was enjoyed by all who attended.  All of the band members strived hard all year to achieve the commendations they received from all their fellow Raider Fans."

Evidently there was a big mustache and baseball cap movement in '75.

Uh, Mr. Kime?

How do you get a good seal on the mouthpiece with that stash?

Drum Major

Harris Davis

Ok, the glasses look the same, and the tambourine is right, but is this youngster really the Raiders' DM?
