1982 MBA Grand National Championships Preliminaries And Finals
After their very first appearance at the MBA's Regional
Competition, the Marching Raiders were invited to attend 1982's Grand National Competition at East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, an invitation only event. |

1983 MBA Regional Preliminaries
After the positive 1982 experience, the
Marching Raiders returned to Western Carolina University in Cullowhee for another chance to test their mettle against the best bands in the nation. |

1983 MBA Regional Finals
Just as in 1982, the Marching Raiders' preliminary performance easily placed them within the Final Twelve Bands.

For the second consecutive year, their performance at the MBA Regionals earned the
Marching Raiders an invitation to the Grand Nationals. |

1983 Grand National Championships minus some advertisements. I certainly glad I've managed to hang on to this program over the years. It has provided lots of details I could never have remembered and quite a few images to add to this website.
I wish I had bought programs from each of the MBA events I
attended. The truth is I probably did, but they were not as
lucky as this one.
